Stuff I've Seen

Stuff I've Seen

I have a love for street, sometimes landscape, and very occasionally editorial (though it's been a while).

About me

I’ve always been a photographer at heart.

I started by making videos at a young age. When I picked up a MiniDV camera at 10–11, I wanted to make skateboarding videos. The catch was, I sucked at skateboarding. Instead, I would film friends who were slightly better—and I mean very slightly better. Eventually, my parents got their first digital camera (a beefy Canon Powershot S series). That thing consumed me. I was taking photos of everything. Once they got a DSLR (The Canon Rebel XT, then eventually they got me my own XTi), It was over. I was hooked. I’d spend hours learning about all aspects of photography.

By 16 I thought my path in life would be a digital artist and editorial photographer. I was building websites at the time as well, but photography still had my heart. That quickly changed once I realized I sucked at self-promo and getting photo clients. This web “thing” also has the potential to pay better.

20 years later, I may have a career as a Product Engineer but I’m still making videos and taking photos on the side. Granted, with some longer breaks in output than before. But, it’s rare that a year goes by and I haven’t captured anything.

This will be a space to share those things.
